As a component of the Michigan Dental Association (MDA), the Muskegon District Dental Society (MDDS) operates under the Tripartite system. This means that as a member of the MDA, you also become a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the MDDS. You are therefore gaining the resources of each organization to take advantage of “the power of three". Prescriptions dropped by 34.4% from 2015-19
Although most dentists have decreased their opioid prescribing, a small percentage still consistently prescribes at high rates, according to a study published in the January issue of The Journal of the American Dental Association.
