As a component of the Michigan Dental Association (MDA), the Muskegon District Dental Society (MDDS) operates under the Tripartite system. This means that as a member of the MDA, you also become a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the MDDS. You are therefore gaining the resources of each organization to take advantage of “the power of three". Whether member dentists are caring for one patient, a community, a state, or a nation, organized dentistry is about improving oral health care

Association supports including adult dental services as essential health benefits
The American Dental Association submitted comments Jan. 4 on the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ proposed 2025 Notice of Benefit and Payment Parameters for the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. The ADA’s comments highlighted its support for CMS’ proposal to remove a current prohibition on adult dental coverage in states’ Essential Health Benefits Benchmark Plans.
